THE ACTIVE CIRCLE

The Active Circle is strictly for individuals aged 18 or over.

Children under 18 must not:

• Create accounts

• Browse or use the Platform

• Communicate with users

• Book or attend events

This applies without exception.

Children must never attend events listed on the Platform, even if supervised.

The Active Circle does not provide safeguarding, DBS-checked Hosts, or child-specific GDPR compliance.

Users must confirm they are 18+ at registration.

False age declaration is a material breach. We may immediately suspend or delete accounts suspected to involve minors and delete associated data in line with UK GDPR.

Members acknowledge that:

• Attendance is voluntary

• They assess suitability themselves

• Participation is entirely at their own risk

The Active Circle provides no medical or fitness advice.

Members confirm they are medically fit and will seek professional advice where appropriate.

Members are responsible for:

• Their own equipment

• Following Host instructions

• Monitoring environmental and physical conditions

The Active Circle is not responsible for equipment failure or misuse.

Reviews reflect personal opinion only and are not verified or endorsed.

The Platform may, at its discretion, invite a limited number of Hosts to join the Founding Host Programme.

Founding Host status is offered to early Hosts who contribute to building the Platform through consistent activity, quality events, and community engagement.

Founding Host status is not automatically granted and may be withdrawn if the eligibility criteria are no longer met.

Founding Hosts may receive benefits including, but not limited to:

• Waived Host Membership Fees

• Priority or enhanced event visibility

• Early access to new Platform features

• Recognition as a Founding or Early Partner

Benefits are offered as a goodwill incentive and do not form part of a contractual entitlement.

Founding Host benefits are granted for an initial fixed period (for example, six (6) or twelve (12) months), unless otherwise stated.

At the end of this period, Founding Host status and associated benefits may be:

• Renewed

• Modified

• Converted to standard Host access

• Discontinued

At the Platform's discretion.

Renewal decisions may consider factors such as:

• Number of events hosted

• Event consistency

• Attendance and engagement

• Community feedback

Founding Host status does not constitute a lifetime membership, permanent fee waiver, or ongoing entitlement to free hosting.

The Platform reserves the right to introduce Host fees or revised pricing structures for all Hosts, including Founding Hosts, with reasonable notice.

Founding Hosts are expected to:

• Maintain high-quality event listings

• Communicate clearly with attendees

• Uphold the reputation of the Platform

Repeated cancellations, low-quality events, or breaches of the Host Terms may result in:

• Loss of Founding Host benefits

• Reversion to standard Host status

• Account suspension where appropriate

As the Platform evolves, features, visibility rules, and pricing models may change.

Founding Host status does not guarantee preferential treatment under future versions of the Platform beyond the benefits explicitly stated during the active Founding Host period.

The Platform may revoke Founding Host status at any time if:

• The Host breaches applicable Terms

• The Host becomes inactive for a prolonged period

• Continued status is no longer aligned with Platform goals

Hosts are independent third parties, not employees or agents of The Active Circle.

Hosts are solely responsible for:

• Accuracy and legality of listings

• Event safety and delivery

• Compliance with all laws

• Licences, permissions, and insurance

• Participant suitability

Hosts must not allow children to attend events under any circumstances.

Hosts agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Active Circle against all claims arising from:

• Their events

• Injuries or losses

• Legal or regulatory breaches

• Negligence or misrepresentation

The Active Circle acts solely as a payment facilitator. All transactions are between Host and Member.

Payments are processed via Stripe.

We do not store card details and are not responsible for Stripe delays, errors, disputes, or account restrictions.

• Stripe fees apply to all transactions

• Fees are automatically deducted

• Fees are non-refundable

The Active Circle does not reimburse third-party fees

Unless otherwise stated:

• >48 hours → Full refund (excluding non-refundable fees)

• 48–24 hours → Partial refund

• <24 hours → No refund

No refunds for failure to attend without cancellation.

If a Host cancels, Members receive a refund of the event price paid. The Active Circle is not responsible for related costs (travel, accommodation, etc.).
