DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT

How to permanently delete your account and personal data from The Active Circle platform.

1. OVERVIEW

The Active Circle ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and giving you control over your personal data.

You may permanently delete your account at any time. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered and most associated data will be removed from our systems.

Deleting your account is different from uninstalling our mobile app — uninstalling does not delete your account or data.

2. DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT IN THE APP

If you are logged in, you can delete your account directly from your dashboard:

For Members

Go to Profile Settings

  1. Log in to your account on the website or app.
  2. Open Profile Settings from your dashboard menu.
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section.
  4. Click "Delete Account", type "delete" to confirm, accept the confirmation checkbox, and select "Confirm Deletion".

For Hosts

Go to Account Settings

  1. Log in to your host account on the website or app.
  2. Open Account Settings from your dashboard menu.
  3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section.
  4. Click "Delete Account", type "delete" to confirm, accept the confirmation checkbox, and select "Confirm Deletion".

3. REQUEST DELETION BY EMAIL

If you cannot access your account, you may request deletion by contacting us. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Please include:

• The email address registered to your account

• Your full name

• A brief statement that you wish to permanently delete your account and associated personal data

We aim to respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days, in line with UK GDPR requirements.

4. WHAT IS DELETED

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove personal data associated with your account, including where applicable:

• Profile information (name, email, photo, bio, and preferences)

• Account credentials and authentication data

• Bookings, attendance records, and activity history

• Messages and communications sent through the platform

• Reviews and ratings you have submitted

• Host listings, schedules, and related activity content

• Favourites and saved preferences

5. DATA WE MAY RETAIN

In some circumstances we may retain limited information where required or permitted by law, for example:

• Financial, payment, or tax records required for legal or accounting obligations

• Information necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or prevent fraud

• Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot identify you

Any retained data is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS & PAYMENTS

If you have an active membership or host subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account, or contact us for assistance.

7. YOUR RIGHTS (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate data

• Request erasure of your personal data

• Restrict or object to certain processing

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
